Success Stories

As a rescue organization, our focus is on matching each dog with a family that is well-suited to the dog's individual personality, needs, training, and energy level. Here are some "happy tails" of dogs who have found their forever homes thanks to loving adopters and our dedicated volunteers.

Heo.jpg

HEO

Female - Adopted!

Heo was an owner surrender that has been rehomed to San Francisco. She is an eager beaver, eager to please her human. She is doing well in San Francisco and is absolutely spoiled.

TIger.jpg

TIGER

Male - Adopted!

Tiger was very scared when we first encountered him. He was only 7 months old but had a rough start to life. It took a week for him to decompress. With is resilient soul, Tiger overcame his rough start to life, excelled at basic obedience and has been taken in by a wonderful family in Texas. He is absolutely spoiled by his Mom and Dad, and is living a happy puppy life full love, as well as meaningful positive mental and physical stimulation.

Roose.jpg

ROOSE

Male - Adopted!

Roose was an owner surrender because he nipped too much and had separation anxiety. With a few months of crate training and basic obedience training, Roose became protector and guardian of our Rescue, pulling night shift guard duty. He has since been rehomed and is doing well.

rescue gemma.jpg

GEMMA

Female - Adopted!

Gemma was an owner surrender because she was nippy with her owners. It turned out she was never taught basic obedience or proper play etiquette. Once we taught her what was expected of her, Gemma became best friends with Phoenix, one of our rescues. The two tired each other out with hours of play, with Phoenix putting Gemma in her place when she played too rough. Gemma has been rehomed to Texas and is doing well with her Mom and two dog siblings which include a retired K-9 bloodhound and a Thai ridgeback. Gemma is now working on her AKC titles; the sky's the limit for this little girl!

Tigger.jpg

TIGGER

Male - Adopted!

Tigger was an owner surrender because he did not get along with his sire. After successful completing some basic obedience and crate training at the Rescue, Tigger was eventually adopted and rehomed to San Diego County where he guards an avocado farm against all types of trespassers, whether two-legged or four-legged.

Phoenix.jpg

PHOENIX

Male - Adopted!

Phoenix was found as a stray by Animal Control in Santa Ana, California. He was adopted out by the shelter but returned a few days later due to a bite. Since he has been with the Rescue, Phoenix has learned basic obedience. He is eager to please and has shown no aggression to any of our visitors which include children and adults. Phoenix is doing well in his forever home with his baby sister PQRD Kiki. He was intially afraid of Grandma and Grandma was initially afraid of him because of his strength and size, but has since learned that Grandmas have the best treats and Grandma has learned that Phoenix is just a gentle loving soul with no mean bones in his body. They are now BFFs,

Chai.jpg

CHAI

Male - Adopted!

Chai was found as a stray in San Diego county; was adopted then returned due to resource guarding. He had extreme stranger anxiety when we first took him in. He is now doing well with basic obedience. He is crate trained, goes to his crate on command, and has learned important play etiquette since he has been at the Rescue. Chai does well with other female dogs and is learning important socialization skills. Chai is now with his forever family and is getting the love and attention he deserves.

Rocky.jpg

ROCKY

Male - Adopted!

Rocky came from us from the East Valley Animal Shelter in the San Fernando Valley. He had been adopted and returned half a dozen times due to aggression, and was slated for euthanasia. Shelter staff reached out to us to see if we could help this little guy find a patient and loving forever home. We are happy to say that Rocky has hit the jackpot and is living in the lap of love and lots of doggy treats.
