AKINA

Akina was an owner surrender from Central California. The owner stated that she was two energetic and too difficult to train. She is now undergoing basic training with the Rescue and will have all the time she needs to find a family who will treasure her as their loyal companion and beloved family member.

Blaze was much loved by his prior owner but was surrendered due to unfortunate circumstances that his family is going through. Blaze is playful and affectionate, and loves to play fetch. We are refining his basic obedience and crate training while he is with us. He would be perfect in an active home and would be a very good loyal loving companion.
BOND

Bond is a handsome stunning male brindle with impressive pedigree who was surrendered by his owner. Bond walks well on leash, knows his basic obedience, and is crate trained. He will need a family who will continue to work with him on basic obedience, confidence building, and impulse control – which are all very important components in raising a balanced pet. Bond is affectionate, playful, and gets along well with other dogs.
BOSTON

Boston is an owner surrender because he was dominating his brother and was showing aggression. He is now at the Rescue for some rehab and refining in communication so he can learn to make better choices and clearly understands what is expected of him. Boston is very sweet and gentle with humans and is just a gentle giant who doesn’t understand his strength or size.
BUNNY - ADOPTED!
Female
Bunny was surrendered by her owner to a Westminster animal shelter in Orange County, California. The shelter staff thought she was a mix Thai ridgeback. She had had a litter of puppies but was surrendered by herself. When we picked her up, we realized she was actually a H’mong bobtail mix, a very rare indigenous Vietnamese breed native to the highlands of Northern Vietnam. Bunny was understandably scared and anxious when she first came to us. She is now one of the best dogs we have ever had the pleasure of taking in.
DENALI
Denali was rescued from euthanasia from a shelter in Little Saigon, Southern California. He is crate trained and walks well on leash. He is gentle and sweet, gets along well with female dogs, and is so eager for love and affection. He is low maintenance and is happy with just one or two walks a day. He loves to roam the yard but comes when called and goes to his crate happily if treats are involved.
DONNIE

Donnie was a stray found in a Little Saigon neighbor in Southern California. He is sweet and does well with other dogs. He walks well on leash and is crate trained. Donnie is shy and takes time to warm up because he is so afraid but he is slowly coming out of his shell and would make a wonderful companion for that luck family.

Hobbes was surrendered to a local Southern California shelter by his family who was moving to another state. Hobbes is a very sweet loyal boy. He knows his basic obedience and is crate trained. He walks well on leash and is such a happy go lucky boy.
JADE

Jade – pronounced Ha-day – is an owner surrender from Georgia, Atlanta. Jade is a 10-year old pedigreed Thai ridgeback imported from Thailand by her owner. Because they could not find any no-kill shelter, rescues or sanctuary that would take her in, her family drove her all the way from Atlanta to Southern California so she could be placed with us while we find a loving home for her. Jade is stranger wary and will do well in a family with no other dogs.
KHALEESI

Khaleesi is a stunning golden girl who is very affectionate and super intelligent. She is crate trained, walks well on leash, and gets along well with other dogs. She is also very athletic and is great at problem solving. She loves cuddling and being in the house. Come meet this sweet little girl and see for yourself what a wonderful sweetheart she is!
KNIGHT

Knight is a hmong bobtail dog, which is very rare outside of Vietnam. Hmong bobtails are raised by the indigenous Hmong tribes in the highlands of Northern Vietnam. Knight was an owner surrender and suffers from severe fear aggression which he is overcoming with flying colors. He is a sweet boy who is just so eager to be loved. Knight was never socialized as a puppy and is slowly learning to love and trust. He will be a wonderful companion to a very lucky family.
LIGHTNING

Lightning came to us with his four puppies surrendered by their owner who felt that he couldn’t give Lightning the proper training. Lightning will need basic training and leash training but has good temperament, and should be ready to be rehomed.
LUCKY

Lucky was an owner surrender in Southern California that found her way to a good Samaritan who contacted us to bring her to our sanctuary. The original owner gave her up because she dug under the fence, went into the neighbor’s yard, and attacked their dog. When she came to us, Lucky had severe anxiety and fear-based aggression, and had to be muzzled for a week. She was never given any obedience training, was contained to the backyard, and was never socialized properly. Since her arrival at our Rescue, she has since learned play etiquette and is now able to play politely with other dogs. She has also graduated out of her muzzle and has started basic obedience training.
MAIA

Maia was an owner surrender because she was too much to handle. Maia is a jumper and can clear a 6-ft fence so she is best suited as an indoor dog and will need continued guidance and training. She is crate trained and loves long walks. She's eager to please and just wants to find her own furever family.

Missy is a sweet ridgeback mix who only wants to be with her family. She walks well on leash, gets along well with other dogs and is crate trained. She loves a good run and being outdoors. She is curious and eager to please. Missy goes to her crate on command, learns new commands quickly and is so eager to find a forever family. Moka is a beautiful brindle who knows her basic obedience and is crate trained. She still needs guidance and practice with leash walking but she is so very eager to please. Nick was pulled from the euthanasia list 90 minutes before he was scheduled for euthanasia. He is a big beautiful sweet energetic boy weighing about 70 pounds, and is a Thai ridgeback-Husky mix. He is crate trained, walks well on leash and knows basic commands.
SIRIUS

Sirius was an owner surrender from Central California. The owner had given him away with expressed agreement that he was not to be used for breeding. When the agreement was broken, the owner requested that Sirius be returned to him and then surrendered him to our rescue, entrusting us with his care until he can be placed with a good family that will treat him as a loving pet and as a member of the family.
TINY TIM

Tiny Tim was born with a deformed foot but does not let it hinder him in any way. He takes guarding his family seriously and will chase any critters that impinges on his humans’ home. Tim is 3 years old, is crate trained and loves to go on car rides. He gets along well with female dogs but is dog selective with male dogs. He is full of affection and playful energy, and is looking for a forever home.

Twinkie is about 2 years old and was an owner surrender. She is initially shy and takes time to warm up to strangers, but is very affectionate and sweet once she gets to know you. She is crate trained, walks well on leash and knows basic commands. She is very mellow and low key.

Vida is a 11 month old who was surrendered by her owner because she was too much for them to handle. Vida is crate trained and is good with children and other dogs. She is a bundle of puppy energy and is ready for any adventure. As with any dog from this breed, Vida will need an owner who will have the time to mentor her to become the best dog that she can be. Vida is full of love and potential and is just waiting for that right family to bring out the best in her.
